If lockdown has taught us one thing, it is the importance of getting outside and enjoying nature. Gardens and gardening make us feel better. Fact! The real magic is that anyone can enjoy their healing power. It won’t cure dementia, but it can relieve stress and be a wonderful calming influence. At TDS, we have been decorating pots and planting bulbs of hyacinths, either as presents, or just to be enjoyed by the maker. We also run a weekly Walk and Talk group for members, as well as another one for Carers. This is to give them the opportunity to get outdoors and to share time with others in a similar position. Once spring arrives, we will be able to resume some of our gardening projects.
