Yet again our service users support us with fundraising! Barrie Eckford, who cared for his wife, Rose, and who both used our services, proposed Together Dementia Support as the charity to receive donated cash from the Linden Bowling & Social Club, in Sale.
Vice President David Gaster and Members of the club have been putting money in a large glass jar, positioned strategically on the bar and this totalled £377.
This money will assist the charity to buy new equipment and provide fun one-off activities at our Friendship & Activity groups. These things really bring a lot of stimulation and wellbeing to our members with dementia.
We’re truly grateful for all donations from the community. We’re even hoping to visit the Linden Club in the Summer as we know some of our members and their carers would enjoy a game of bowls and drink in their lovely garden.
