Our Story
Our mission is to deliver a holistic and high-quality range of services that support and promote 'living well with dementia' in our local communities
For families in Manchester affected by dementia
People living with dementia and their families have relied on us since 2014 to enable them to live positively together with dementia. We have a range of vital social and support services across the Manchester city region to promote friendships, education, self-care and skills-maintenance for people living with dementia and their families.
Our founder and CEO, Sally Ferris, set up the charity as there were no holistic post-diagnostic services for people living with dementia in Manchester. 10 years on, we have grown into a charity that provides for nearly 1,000 people each year, and have developed comprehensive support and training services for carers.
"Thank you for making life pleasant for me."

What We Do
We support people to live positively together with dementia
Friendship &
Activity Groups
For people living with dementia
Our Friendship & Activity Groups are safe, relaxed places for people living with dementia to meet, make new friends, and take part in creative and fun activities.
Tailored Carer Support
For family & friends
Carers are right there alongside people living with dementia at the heart of our work. We provide free carer training, one-to-one tailored support, and support with day-to-day caring for someone living with dementia.
Together at Home
For people living with dementia
Not everyone is able to make it out to one of our groups. Together at Home ensures that they get visited at home either once a week or once every two weeks to take part in the same creative activities as our groups on a one-to-one basis.
Socials & Self-Care
For family & friends
Creating and maintaining social relationships is vital to maintaining good health and wellbeing for both people living with dementia and their carers. We provide frequent social and self-care opportunities, including trips and meals out, parties, and online Carer Zoom meetings.
Our members & carers shape our services
How our services are designed is a two-way conversation with the experts who best know what families affected by dementia need - our members and carers
Our volunteers
Our work is made possible by the tireless work of our 100+ volunteers, who give their time week in, week out. They are the lifeblood of our charity, and without them nothing we do would be possible.
